Die Donau

Ein leichter, sanfter Abendwind
begleitet zwei Brüder, beide noch ein Kind.
Sie wollten spielen Räuber und Gendarme,
an der Donau, in deren düst`ren Nebenarm.
Sie stiegen in ein altes Fischerboot
und trieben hinaus in den finst`ren Tod.
Auf einmal stieß etwas die zwei
und das Boot war menschenfrei.
Am Morgen fand man das alte Boot
und die Jungen, beide tot.
